Best Designed Home Loan Websites in Australia

Posted by Alec on Fri, 02 Oct 2009, in Web Design

Online lending websites have grown big and popular these days, it's easy to find hundreds of websites created for people seeking finance to submit application online and get pre-approval, etc. However, not many of these websites have been done professionally or having a wow design. I had the chance to look through a lot of these websites and filtered out a list of the very good ones out there. Note that the list is judged solely on my professional view on the design and development of the website, and has nothing to do with the products and services they provide.

#1 Best Designed: Aussie Home Loan

Aussie

I am not sure who designed their website, but these guys have recently rebranded their online image with a very sharp looking appearance and interactive elements. Themed purple, the site gives people a very young, refreshing feel and the usage of SiFR on headings across the page lights up the feel. Proper placement of navigations, links, fields enable visitors to quickly address their queries and interactive flash calculators were blended smartly. The site was built on ASP.NET technologies. Overall, 4.5 out of 5.

#2 Best Designed: Happy Talk Home Loan

Happy Talk

Designed and developed by Fusion, Australian Central Credit Union had their own seperate online lending portal created last year. The website had been designed to match the union's brand with very interactive flash elements. Overall rating, 4 out of 5.

#3 Best Designed: e-Choice

eChoice

It's funny but I liked their old design more. e-Choice recently upgraded their website and now has a redish and gray design. Started as one of the earliest online lending stations, they are also the developer of QuickSmart financial planning software, which has been released to OEMs in 2001. The company has recently completed an alliance with a global financial services firm that includes an equity placement. Overal rating 4 out of 5.

 #4 Best Designed: My Rate

My Rate

When their first came out, I was really impressed by their look, but as time goes by it gets a bit bored and dull. However, the design isn't bad compared to a lot others in the industry, just that it could have been better. Overall rating 3 out of 5.
